Knocking, sucking or rushing noises from pipework during or after use. These are usually caused by pressure changes in a partly restricted run or by inadequate ventilation of the stack.
What it means for you
Noise on its own rarely means an emergency, but it is often the earliest audible sign that a run is narrowing.
