An area of grass that stays saturated when the rest of the garden has dried out, sometimes with unusually vigorous growth. It can indicate a leaking foul drain, a failed soakaway or ground that simply cannot absorb water.
What it means for you
A persistent wet patch that smells is a drainage leak; one that does not is more likely a surface water problem.
